From Playbill May 2001. A Perfect Crime's star and general manager Catherine Russell, who has spent half of her life since 21 in the show has been in 3095 performances in a row. Crime's mainstay from the April 18, 1987 opening onward, Russell has missed only four performances in 21 years, both times to serve in her siblings' weddings. Her record swamps the closest contender, Marian Seldes, who, in Deathtrap, another thriller, logged 1,809 consecutive shows on Broadway.

I saw this cute play on New Year's Eve 2005 and I believe I read that Ms Russell still has only missed 4 shows (which is crazY)

Although not "spotless" (as it may be defined here), I want to add my voice to those yelling, "Greg Jbara."

Even when he did that QVC gig, it was to promote DRS. He and several members of the ensemble performed a couple of songs. (I watched it...the only time I have ever seen anything on QVC!) They were hawking the "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Line" of costume jewelry.

I think it's important to mention that it was broadcast live on a MONDAY NIGHT.

So he kinda worked "overtime" in a way. re: Performers with a(n) (almost) spotless performance record

The night I saw DRS Greg was out but from what I understand he has a remarkable attendance record and I just got unlucky. Oh well, still loved the show : )

quoting Mamie (speaking of Greg Jbara): ...a couple of days when the producers allowed him to work on screen so he could keep his SAG membership active.

Slight correction there ... Greg was keeping his SAG insurance current, not his SAG membership.

I'm suddenly laughing as I remember the Friends episode where Joey lost his SAG insurance...

Sarah Jones of Bridge and Tunnel doesn't have an understudy so she has never missed a performance.

Stephen Lynch never missed a show, didn't he?
