hey guys,
I am on a bit of a kick again. What can I say? One of my favorite shows has a few productions coming up this summer and I found some scenic design for upcoming productions that are looks rather stunning and I just wanted to share and spread the love. Check them..
First up is the upcoming production at the MUNY. They have done it several times prior, and the last few have used sets essentially adapted from the last two "Rigby" tours. This summer's production is taking some of those elements left in storeage and bringing in a LOT of new stuff.
Scene design is by Steve L Gilliam.
I particular like the Nursey set, fanciful trees in the Never Land, and addition of a galley to the Jolly Roger.

The next is a production design for the Diablo Light Opera by Kent Homchick. I really like the overall look and LOVE the fact that he actually makes an effort to show the rapid change of seasons in the Never Land..
Here is the scene by scene rough sketch layout.

This is the full site for his Peter Pan design, including a lot of his research materials and ideas.

And for those interested, his very extensive portfolio.
