And you think of all of the things you've seen, and you wish that you could live in between ,and you're back again only different than before... After the Sky. -Into the Woods (Jack)

I saw it the last time she brought it to Broadway at the Marriott several years back - it was breathtaking - real musical theater at its finest, and most definitely more than a children's show - I cried so hard in several spots - its a beautiful production and she has really earned her "wings" by creating a rich and fleshed-out character in Peter. See her do it if you can.

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I agree. Saw it when she was on tour in Baltimore. Rigby was a wonderful Peter and I'm a dyed in the wool Mary Martin fan!

I saw the show in La Mirada and it was great.
Cathy Rigby is better than ever and Howard McGillin is one of the best Hooks I've seen.
The set is the same with some different blocking from the DVD.
Lighting and special effects look the same.
The flying has a lot of different elements.

You can see production photos at their site
www.Peter-Pan.com

and on The Fly Guy's web site he does updates from the road
www.PaulTheFlyGuy.com then click on Peter Pan

SM, thank you for promoting Paul's Site. :) He's added many journal entries from behind-the-scenes at the show, with still more to come.

Yes, I saw the tour on opening night. It has been revised a lot - very different from the DVD. The only thing that is the same, really, is the costumes & sets.

Blocking, some choreography, lighting, and the script has changed.

For example, the song "Wendy" has been severely cut. It now acts as a segway into the music number "I Won't Grow Up."

Howard McGillin NAILS the role of "Captain Hook." If for no other reason, see the show to catch his outstanding portrayal. (But there are SO many other reasons to see the show anyway!

I'll find my original review post and link it here.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Capn -= no stops in NY this time around? I checked out the tour dates on the website and there was no mention of NYC - I'd love to have the chance to take joeyjoe to see it if it were going to be here!

There are plans to bring it back to Broadway, but at this time, no stop in NY for the tour.

Atlanta is a possible add-on. It was added and removed from the list a few times already.

I am looking forward to seeing the show on Tuesday Oct. 19th here in Las Vegas.

I can't wait to see Cathy again as "Peter Pan" live and also Howard McGillin who I think looks like a neat "Hook."

Yours,

Carolyn

I saw Cathy Rigby when I was a youngster and I thought she was wonderful. I can only wonder about her age now, however. Peter Pan is never supposed to grow up!
