Well I just came back from Peter Pan and it was SO entertaining! Cathy Rigby gives so much spunk into the role of Peter. Geez the way she zooms across the stage in her flying scenes is rather frightening! Ha ha! All the kids and the Lost Boys are so darn cute as well!
I probably decided to go watch Peter Pan because I heard Howard McGillin was playing the dual roles of Mr. Darling and Captain Hook. I thought that Howard's comedic timing was excellent. And he looks so much like the part of Capt. Hook in his red and gold costume with a wig of long black curly hair! Seriously, it looks like he just stepped right out of the Disney version of Peter Pan! Howards singing was decent tonight...not as "wow" as when I saw him in Phantom. Oh but you should really see him dancing the Tango in one of the scenes! A classic!
Overall acting was great by the touring cast, although I felt that Capt. Hook's death scene was rather awkward and Howard could have played it better.
I also loved the set design...it's very inticate. And the choreography was well done too.
I had such a wonderful birthday going to see the show! It was especially cool to meet Howard at the stage door and to have him sign his solo CD for me and "Happy Birthday" on my program! :)
I hope you guys get to check out the tour when it rolls around in your area!

Thanks so much for the review baby (do you mind me calling you that?) I have been looking for a review of Peter Pan. It's coming to Nashville, and I can't wait to see it!
