DVD available in single disc and 2-disc versions.

Musical Drama based on Andrew Lloyd Webber's celebrated musical phenomenon. The Phantom of the Opera tells the story of a disfigured musical genius (Gerard Butler) who haunts the catacombs beneath the Paris Opera, waging a reign of terror over its occupants. When he falls in love with the lovely Christine (Emmy Rossum), the Phantom devotes himself to creating a new star for the Opera, exerting a strange sense of control over the young soprano as he nurtures her extraordinary talents.

Thankyou for posting that.

I will definately be buying the DVD, though not for anything from the stage production, as I think the film is much superior to the dull, over-bearing stage production.

The show is so much better than the movie...but the movie is a lot easier to understand...

When does the DVD come out?

I never got a chance to see it in theatres, but I'm definitley going to buy the DVD.

Looks like the extra stuff might be better than the movie. I love watching all the making of stuff, facinating.

I cannot wait...they better have good stage footage...they should def. do a recording of the phantom when it goes off broadway.
