The sound clips are fabulous.

And, after hearing Patrick Wilson singing part of "All I Ask Of You", I am so wishing my first name was "Christine." What a tenderly rendered ballad.

I can't wait for the soundtrack to be available on November 23rd.

Just to let those that do not know, the FLASH site went up early due to the demands of the fans on the WB message board.

They were so wanting something. WB had the sound clips and that seemed to be the big thing the fans wanted more so the FLASH site went up before it was ready.

They are working on it and I am hoping the new trailer (which is awesome) will be up soon and the downloads, etc.

Was anyone else not so impressed with the sound clips? I mean, they were okay, but not as good as I expected. And it makes me nervous that they didn't have a clip of Music of the Night. That's the most well known song in the show, I hope that the reason it's not up is not that it's not that impressive (did that sentence make sense). I dont know, I mean, I'm the biggest Phantom critic ever--I've seen so many incredible stage performers that I have pretty high expectations, but I just hope I"m not disappointed. Emmy Rossum's voice is pretty, but I think she was too young for the role, vocally. Christine is usually played by someone in their mid-twenties-thirties because it's such a demanding role. I don't know, I'm probably just being overly critical, since everyone else here seems to like it (and I'll still go see it the night it's open, and as often as I can drag people the whole time it's in theaters) :)

This is like any musical transferred to the screen. We are so used to hearing one person's interpretation of a character (Michael Crawford or Colm Wilkinson and Sarah Brightman or that girl that I can't remember her name right now). I think once you get/if you get the soundtrack and listen to it you will like it a lot better. I mean I have listened to the clips on the main website many times and each time I like it more and more and more. At first, I was like, "Why does the Phantom sound all gravely and not how I would think of the Phantom to sound like" but now I am starting to like Gerard's voice. And Emmy is not the best (neither was Sarah Brightman) but I think she is a breath of fresh air for me since I only have the OLC to listen to.

Oh, and by the way......Emmy and Jennifer Ellison (Meg) are Hot.
