About 200 to go to pass Cats! Who thinks they can do it? I think it'll be running at least another 2-5 years.

It's playing to a really high capacity considering how long it's been on Broadway. Hell, it's even passed most of the newer shows in it's percent capactity. I think it still has a few more years in it.

The other night when we went to see All Shook Up we saw people wanting to get in, huge line... it must still be doing good business.

So its only 200 performances away.

What's that, like 6 months? When wil the magical night be? I imagine Mackintosh and Lloyd Webber will have quite a celebration planned.

I went to The Phantom of the Opera on Monday night to try and get $20 rear mezzanine tickets with my friend, but they were completely sold out. I'd say it still has a few years left.

Phantom has gotten boring over the years though. Why is this?

Perhaps it just isn't new to you anymore. I saw it for the first time in February and I thought it was spectacular. You're just probably no longer amazed by it, since it's been around for almost twenty years.

Phantom still appeals to the non-theatre crowd because it's considered a "classic", and a must-see when you hit Broadway.

I love Phantom, but last year was my first time seeing it and I got so bored. Got the same reaction from others who saw it recently or months ago.

Oh no! What if they stop on the EXACT same number of performances that Cats did, freaky! How long did cats run? At the Winter Garden right? how many years...

There's no question it's going to pass Cats. I saw it last a year and a half ago and even at that point, one of my students asked an usher how long it was going to run, and she answered "we're at least going to beat Cats..."
