I was just looking at he pix of the emcees on the Cabaret website. Is a cleft chin some sort of prerequisite for the role?
Or is that makeup too? (looks natural in the pix) Don't really see the Michael Hall resemblance to Adam; Michael's make-up is so much whiter.

Ha, cleft chin...that just amuses me considering I realized yesterday that I am the only person who doesn't usually notice those, even on men I love. Emcees have them?? I have to go check the site now.
Actually, if you look at the Time Out NY pic of Adam, it's slightly different. His eyes are open and looking away from the camera, and he's exhaled smoke. It was then that I completely understood why my friend thought he was a combo of Matt and Raul. I like that mag pic so much better...it's funny what one tiny change can do. But the promo pix never do the actors justice anyway.

Just a few general thoughts on Cabaret 10/17...
For his first, Adam did a VERY commendable job. No real complaints here...I wouldn't rank him among the likes of Alan Cumming or Raul Esparza, but I was impressed nonetheless. He was a very slinky Emcee (he's also lost weight and toned up a bit I'd say), well-sung, and very comfortable on stage. As his time progresses in the show, I'm sure his comedic bits will get better as well. Overall, an incredibly enjoyable performance and I'm sure fans will no doubt be impressed.
On a sidenote, Susan Egan remains stellar, Tony Roberts and Blair Brown were fine (though I could not get Carole S's fierce performance out of my mind), and Rick Holmes is a solid Cliff.
