That's Mame- through the course of the show she's a flapper, an actress, a businesswoman, a Southern Belle, a grieving widow, a scarsdale matron and a world traveler- she's got a lot of looks to cover.

Looks fantastic! Too bad I don't live anywhere near Seattle.

"Why is her hair color different in almost every picture?"

Mame's costumes and hair are different in almost every scene. She is really only offstage long enough to change them. Even then, if you read that Mame book, Angela Lansbury tells of a number of close calls she had backstage with these very quick changes.

I'll be going to Seattle on the closing weekend of the show, and seeing the final performance. I'll post a review when I get back home.

In addition to seeing this production of "Mame," I'm going to Pittsburgh CLO in July to see their production of "Mame," as well.

Maybe, Dee will repeat her role again?

Did Luly Yang just design the Shanghai number or all the costumes? I loved walking by her shop when I was in Seattle last year. Her clothing is gorgeous.

How long is the run? I doubt I'll find time to get up to Seattle from Sf to catch it, but I'd love to try. My GOD it looks fantastic and I do love me some Dee Hoty. The woman is a gem.

If only she were doing it either closer, or in NY.

Dottie D' Luscia- No.. that's Seattle, WA. That's the other side of the country for us... I wish I can go... you know how I feel about Mame! I wish this production tours like Whistle Down the Wind.

Curtain- Yeah..Actually I gained 10-15 lbs from last summer. I'm cycling.I did it intentionally bec. when I am too lean.. I cannot lift a lot of weights-stuck at certain weights..but today (I'm off today from work) I just got back from the gym to do my cardio....and I will go back to lift weights tonight. I'm cutting down on my Broadway shows...I will refrain from watching shows in April (just getting saturated)& to get ready for Summer & Broadway Bares re: Photos : Mame with Dee Hoty (in Seattle's 5th Avenue Theater) .. . I weight 20 lbs lighter than that... you can even see my picture that I posted from 'eurydice' vs. the last pictures- I posted from Passing Strange. You can see the difference.I guess you noticed it? lol! I never miss the gym though.. I lift weights Monday- Friday but I dont do cardio....and I have to stop at eating at that Juniors in NYC! lol! Yeah.. when it comes to loosing weight- its a TRILOGY- Diet, Cardio & Lift Weights>

********

Does anyone knows if this is the same production that will go to Pittsburg?

Weve been postings photos from shows that might interest of the BWWers for the past few months.. like Whistle Down the Wind, The Little Dog Laughed (boston & hartford) specially shows might potentially go on Broadway or shows that played on Broadway. Just out of curiosity.

That's definitely the set from the Kennedy Center production.
