Piano bars/Cabaret in Chicago

In yet another effort to get some discussion going on this board (we're not THE most dead board, take heart! Dallas is REALLY dead..) I thought I would open up the topic of piano/cabaret bars in Chicago....

Any great reccomendations? Personally, Im a fan of Gentry's ... though I've heard good things about the Redhead? And I have a gift certificate to the Kit Kat Lounge...any fans?

There's always room for pathos - and jazz hands.

Kit Kat is really not a piano bar - its more of a performance space / restaurant with drag queens doing shows nightly. I enjoy the red head alot. But the cabaret act of Amy Armstrong & Freddy Allen is great - they perform at different venues all over the city. Also, Davenport's is great place as well.

Both Gentry locations are great. Jen Porter circuits Redhead and Gentry on state. She is wonderful. Went to the Redhead one night on a whim but they would not let us in because we had tennis shoes on. Will never go back there.
