"The production quality has not dropped in the least from its transfer from Broadway to the tour. Visually, the show is as astounding as it was at Lincoln Center."

This is good to hear.

I think the reason that it was less than 45% full when I saw it in previews is because it was the night (although it was a saturday) and it was in a really bad part of San Fran. On the way back we ran a red light becuase we didn't want to get stuck in that area. The policeman who pulled us over told us that if we have to do it again we should because this is not the area to be stopped at a red light at night.

I'm sorry but, again, I have to ask if they were selling any merchandise at the show...

Unfortunately Kyle they weren't. I figured they'd at least have a program with the Broadway cast in it or a t-shirt or something, but there was no merchandise stand whatsoever.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Yeah, I was rather dissapointed that they were not selling merchandise. I was actually looking forward to purchasing a nicer playbill and the vocal selections. I had done the same with Phantom so I assumed that they would do it here too. But it might just be the venue...

It was a Jewish holiday and many of the Miami patrons and Broadway Across America Miami/Ft. Lauderdale subscribers are Jewish...that cut down the audience attendance somewhat when people weren't able to exchange their tickets or found they had other plans due to the holiday.

Other performances during were far fuller - some close to the very large capacity. Actually, the Yom Kippur audience - although smaller - was one of the most enthusiatic of the run.
