Picketing

Do we think the actors will be picketing, even though they're not on strike yet? Would any of you cross their lines? What are your thoughts on the situation?

If they picket wouldn't that mean that there was no show? Why exactly would you cross the picket lines?

Never said I would. In my opinion, crossing a picket line is a sin.

What I'm trying to say is, you can't cross a picket line if there's no reason to. A strike would mean there are no shows. It's not like when a grocery store goes on strike and they bring in non-union employees. They can't just bring in non-equity actors to the Broadway houses to keep the shows open.

What I asking was "do you think the actors would picket even though they werent on strike? If so, would anyone cross their lines?" Sorry for the miscommunication.

If you're not on strike, why would you picket?

And if they're picketing, then they're not performing, which brings us back to the whole no-show thing.

i think the point was a few select actors could take it upon themselves to skip work and picket. This would probably not be helpful or smart, and would not close down a show but still provide a picket line that people may or may not cross.
