Posted: 6/29/04 at 8:54pmWhat I'm trying to say is, you can't cross a picket line if there's no reason to. A strike would mean there are no shows. It's not like when a grocery store goes on strike and they bring in non-union employees. They can't just bring in non-equity actors to the Broadway houses to keep the shows open.

i think the point was a few select actors could take it upon themselves to skip work and picket. This would probably not be helpful or smart, and would not close down a show but still provide a picket line that people may or may not cross.
