Isn't the hair a bit anachronistic? I thought Afro's weren't very popular until the seventies, but I may be wrong.

that is not an afro wig. take a *closer* look. it's also very similar to what sheryl lee ralph wore on stage in the original broadway production. it's not anachronistic at all.

Even with no makeup on and modern street clothes (working in the recording studio)... you can tell that these two ladies look like they were born to play these parts. Great pics! And it's nice to see Bill Condon in there too.
