I saw the other thread and I figured I would post the answer on a new thread so that people see it with out scrolling. I was at the show Sunday night and I spoke with both David Hyde Pierce and Hank Azaria. Below is a basic summary of the conversations:
Me: So when is your last day here?
David Hyde Pierce: They haven’t announced it yet
Me: Do you know when it is?
DHP: April 2nd
Me: When is your last show here?
Hank Azaria: I don’t know
Me: Your leaving the same day as David right?
HA: That’s what they tell me
So there you go. April 2nd is their last day, according to David at the stage door, its still unofficial though.

Thanks for letting us know...

Posted: 1/24/06 at 1:17pmAzaria has said on mulitiple occasions though, that he would LOVE to come back to the role ANY time, so it probably isn't his FINAL performance.

Thanks for posting. I'll try to confirm tonight.
Must warn you, though. According to Telecharge, there are no adjoining seats left for that show except for premium (over $ 300 per ticket.) Good luck everyone.

Posted: 1/24/06 at 11:17pmOk, I'm back from the show. Loved every minute of it. Unfortunately, I didn't get to ask about the last performance. There were a ton of ladies from Texas who swooped right in front of me as Hank Azaria came over. Am not much of a stage doorer anyway (probably getting old...) Decided not to wait for Mr. Pierce, but go home to my poor sick friend. I'm sticking with April 2 then, unless somebody knows something different.

Posted: 2/19/06 at 8:29pmDavid Hyde Pierce confirmed April 2nd as the date of his final performance at the stage door today. A very pretty girl asked him for a date (seriously, sounded quite desperate too...) He made some funny remark, that I didn't quite catch, unfortunately. Sad really (not for you gorgeous boys, of course...)

Posted: 2/19/06 at 8:33pmDavid Hyde Pierce is leaving to star in the new Kander and Ebb musical Curtains, right? At least he's moving onto something with actual substance.

Posted: 2/19/06 at 8:56pmYup. Curtains looks very promising. It will star old Frasier pal Edward Hibbert, too. What a delight for the fall.

Posted: 2/19/06 at 9:51pmHmm. Good question. That would be a very short commitment, if Drowsy Chaperone turns out to be a hit.

Posted: 2/19/06 at 10:37pmthe show is good but i can't imagine it without azaria and pierce though.

Posted: 2/19/06 at 11:22pmI cannot wait to see the show in April on tour in Boston, but I guess I have to agree that the show is overhyped...$300 for "premium" seating is just crazy!

Posted: 2/20/06 at 9:26amHibbert probably signed on to Curtains before Drowsy got its break with WIW closing. He may have to now choose one or the other.

Posted: 2/20/06 at 9:33amHow do you think that will go? Probably in favor of Drowsy Chaperone? 'Curtains' sounds very promising though. David Hyde Pierce pulls quite a bit of star power, too.

Posted: 2/20/06 at 9:56amWho knows? There may have been clauses in all contracts that they had to go with Drowsy when it hit NYC no matter what, but I doubt that.

Posted: 2/20/06 at 10:55amI will find it hard to see the show w/o DHP, but I'm hoping they announce the replacements soon---I loved Alan Tudyk as Lance (as well as Hank!!!)
