Pippin Revival Tour Question

I was watching a video of the finale of the Pippin revival today and I remembered how breathtaking it was to see the tent come down and expose the backstage of the Music Box Theatre. I was not able to see the tour, but I am curious if they actually exposed the backstage of all of the theatres around the country or if they built a fake backstage.

It’s been a few years since I saw the tour, but I want to say that they exposed the backstage of each venue they toured to.

I saw the tour in Burlington, VT (May 2017) and if I'm remembering correctly they did it there!
