Nothing we haven't read before...but you can definately tell the difference between an tactful theater critic and somebody who tries to sound affected...ie:Mike

Posted: 4/29/07 at 6:47amTHAT song at the start, the bit with Stephanie. I recognize the music from "Miss Saigon". I can't place which song it was. Anybody?

"she can fight, she can use a sword, she has the ability to lead... she even climbs ladders!"
Yay for Stephanie being a functioning person.
...She can walk, she can burp, she has the ability to read.
These people are geniuses.

I think you're hearing a similarity in melodic shape and harmonic structure to either "I Still Believe" or "I'd Give My Life For You".
In spite of this, I think "Woman" is one of the more original and compelling songs in PQ. I wish they could have found a way to reprise it at the end of the show.

Posted: 4/29/07 at 8:36amI think it may be "I Still Believe" that it reminds me of. *looks around* Once upon a time I had the cast recording. I know I did. Where did I put it???
LIVE THAT LESSON!!!!!!

Well, they do reprise it at the beginning of the second act. It's right there between "It's A Boy" & "Enemy At Port Side", although it's pretty short and not even listed.
