After reading the thread currently posted about Show People magazine and other theater magazines I was wondering if anyone subscribed to Playbill's magazine. If so, is it good? I'm considering subscribing myself so comments or critcisms are very welcome.

I kinda find being subscribed to Playbill Magazine as a waste of time. It's basically the same stuff you see in a normal Playbill in the theater.

The only difference is in place of the "Onstage" section, there is stuff you would normally find on Playbill On-Line.

Yeah, it is, but for someone who doesn't go to the theatre in New York on a regular basis I find it interesting.

Please do a search.

It's the same articles that are posted on the website.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
