I think this is one of Playbill's recurring columns-- they post info and pics whenever a new marquee goes up on Broadway. The term itself refers to the projected value of a piece before it's released to the public.
On a tangent, does the Barefoot marquee remind anyone else of Sweet Charity?

(It also reminds me a bit of "Springtime for Hitler.")
It's a veyr ugly marquee and someone's skewed idea of what something from the 1960's should look like. Even the original logo wasn't that corny. Just an ugly, ugly graphic. Very amateurish. My 3 year old niece could have come up with a better logo.

All it reminds me of is the crappy production we did my Freshman year in High School...Now I can't stand to watch any performace of BFitP.
