Hi! I'm coming to NYC for first time this week and have tickets to a couple of shows, but don't think I have time/money to also see Children of a Lesser God. But I would love to get a playbill signed by Joshua Jackson.
Is it possible to get/buy a playbill e.g. At the theater foyer without having a ticket to the show?
And does anyone know what Joshua is like at the stage door, does he usually come out, sign, do pics etc? Are there usually many people there?
Thank you so much!
A number of years ago I just walked up to the theater and asked for a playbill and the house staff was kind enough to give me one. Not sure if that’s still the etiquette today, but it’s worth a try. Also trying to just slip into the theater as the show is being let out (dressed and acting like you just saw the show and you’re simply going back into the theater to retrieve something) and pick up a playbill. If security tries to stop you, just explain that you’re getting a playbill.
I’ve also heard that Joshua does in fact sign and take pictures.

If you find that you do have the time but not the money, you could always do the rush tickets through the TodayTix app. I did it last week for two tickets, pretty reasonable at $30 each.
most theaters give playbills at the box office, just ask
