(Shill alert: I play Cletis in "Lone Star.")
Drawn by the rave reviews for Contemporary Theater of Dallas's production of "Lone Star" and "Laundry and Bourbon," and his new friendships with director Cynthia Hestand and artistic director/actress Sue Loncar, playwright and screenwriter James McLure comes to Dallas from Los Angeles for the closing weekend of the acclaimed, extended production. Mr. McLure will give talks and answer questions following the Friday, Saturday and Sunday performances.
McLure, an alumnus of Southern Methodist University, has agreed to cover admission for SMU students for closing weekend as a way of expressing his gratitude to the university. No reservations are required--SMU students need only present their student ID for general admission (subject to availability).
