As dated as parts of it are, You Know I Can't Hear You When The Water's Running is a very funny show.
Racy for its time. Almost scandalous.
Balsam, Heckert, Grizzard and Melinda Dillon. Wonderful direction by Alan Schneider.

I just read Tea and Sympathy. I found it in an old collection of plays in my school library titled, "New Voices of American Theatre." I was stunned. It was a wonderful play with so many great messages. I can't get it out of my mind. It was a great piece of literature, and I can't imagine how wonderful it must have been on stage. I don't understand why it isn't performed very often. I had never even heard of it until I found this book! The play should be revived. Its message against stereo-types and persecuting people who are different is just as relevant today.
