True--let's just keep all our reviews in the main Shrek thread. Also, send comments directly to the producers at shrekfeedback AT 5thavenue DOT org

Okay, I am a HUGE Musical fan . I was in Seattle with my husband and in my hotel room was a magazine for what's happening in Seattle. I was so excited when I saw one of my fav Broadway musical actresses on the front cover (Sutton Foster). After looking through the magazine I realize that Shrek the Musical was debuting in Seattle before it heads to NYC. I was so excited cause if I could get decent tickets we were going to go. So, I of course checked on-line and was pleasantly surprised to find so many great seats available. YEAH ! Anyway, fast forward to the theater. The 5th Avenue Theater is a beautiful theater, and our seats were great. The story held true to the movie which is great. Now for the talent, Shrek (BRIAN D'ARCY JAMES ) , was GREAT he really did a great job and has a nice singing voice. Princess Fiona ( My girl Sutton Foster) she was AWESOME, my biggest disappointment was the songs that she sang. Sutton has an INCREDIBLE BIG VOICE and she needs songs that truly show off that side, a real show stopper. The Donkey (CHESTER GREGORY ),he has a great singing voice but truly cant carry such a key role as Eddie Murphy does in the movie . This character really needs to be much stronger. Lord Farquad (CHRISTOPHER SIEBER ) , this man definitely deserves a TONY he was absolutely fantastic and truly amazing how he performs the entire show on his knees. He definitely steels the show. Pinnochio (JOHN TARTAGLIA ), John does a very good job in this role . Better than Gregory does as the donkey. The Dragon (KECIA LEWIS-EVANS ) Kecia is amazing in this role and has an incredible singing voice . Overall, I believe the show will do very well in NYC. My only suggestions would be more emotional/ powerful songs for Fiona and Shrek. Also, have the donkeys singing voice of Gregory, but the quick wit of Eddie Murphy and the show would be 5 stars.
