I purchased tickets for the July 4 matinee of Porgy and Bess many weeks ago. I just happened to log back on to Ticketmaster today and noticed that now there is a message (which was not there before) stating that Audra McDonald would not be appearing in the performance. I'd really like to see her. I'm wondering if anyone has had any success exchanging tickets/getting refunds for the performances recently when Audra has been out. I'd like to take care of this as soon as possible in the event that I can. Should I call Ticketmaster, or is this something I'd need to take care of at the box office? Just seeking any advice/guidance...
Call Ticketmaster and they will switch them for you since you bought tickets before it was announced that there would be an alternate.
