Peter (Hugh) received a standing ovation as the show began. He was delayed with singing, and changed part of his first line to - followed by a lot of NOISY people... (added noisy)...

A great performance last night! And they have his Tony sign up already!!!

It was definitely HUGH who received the standing ovation at the opening - and throughout the show!

He was so 'on' last night - and feeding off the energy in the audience. What a wonderful evening!

Now they have to update his Playbill bio...from Nominee to Winner!

Loved being able to see him last night. I've seen the show a couple of times, and made a point to buy tickets to last night's performance a while ago (I figured he was a sure thing...). It was the place to be!

Did anyone get to Wicked last night? I imagine Idina Menzel received special recognition, as well. Would love to hear about it!

Plus he switched to the Tony number gold pants last night! No Tony references however, but a girl did give him a hat with "Tony 04" on it, and he made a comment about not being at 4 yet :)

Last night's performance was incredible.....I loved how he kept referring to Norm is for "Normal" and his wife in the balcony throughout Act II. That was sure funny as hell.

Every post I read about the Boy From Oz just makes me want to go see the show again! I'm up to 3 times now - more times than I've seen any other show! Hugh is AMAZING!!!!! I can't get enough!
