I remember reading a less than sparkling review somewhere. Broadway.com perhaps?

Its a very well acted and directed production of a very mediocre play. Anthony Rapp is good but doesn't get to do very much.

who attended the reading of Rapp's PRETTY DEAD GIRL at Chelsea Studios recently? do fill us in. i heard from a friend that the irony was the Studios were also hosting a non-Equity call for a tour of RENT, so one disgruntled professional was heard to say to Mr. Rapp..."what has thou wrought?"

Private Jokes Public Places is a funny very intelligent play. The current production is very well acted, although I'd have to say that if you are going expecting The Anthony Rapp Show you will be disappointed.

I liked it a lot. It is very much worth seeing. A show that appeals to an audience's brain is such a rarity in these days of Wicked and Boy From Oz.
