Posted: 6/16/03 at 9:28pmI saw Prodigal....liked it. Music was simple but nice. If I remember correctly, it was just a piano. I haven't been able to find the CD in stores, and it's $$$ online. I love Kerry...she's very nice too...she's the reason I went to see it.

Posted: 6/16/03 at 9:37pmI just listened to the clips, it's just Kerry with a piano. She sounds great. It'###### soprano, but there is some belting in the clips.

yeah, some belting! Her voice is great when she lets loose. It can be kinda annoying on Batboy when she sings like a little girl but in certain moments in "Three Bedroom House" and "I'll Always Live inside your heart" where her voice is strong and belty, I like her most then. I hate it at the end of the song when she hits that soprano note, it's totally outta nowhere, and then they stop and then go back into the note.
as for prodigal, i dunno if i should buy the cd. It's only $14.99 on amazon.com, JAKEBLOKE.
PRODIGAL CD $14.99 on AMAZON.COM

is there a recording of On My Own?? Is it on her site, i would love to hear it.
I saw Sutton Foster as Eponine, before her Millie Stardom, and she was great!
I also saw Sutton as Sandy in Grease waaaay back, it was when she went from Marty to Sandy. I couldnt stand her redition of "Summer Nights" I couldnt hear a single word.
"Since I Dont have you" was good though

Posted: 6/18/03 at 12:30amKeep in mind the big soprano note at the end of 'Inside Your Heart' is a zing at those sort of notes so it's supposed to feel like it comes out of nowhere. Them going back to the note was also a joke as they took exaggerated breaths and really over-emoted the whole thing.

Posted: 6/21/03 at 7:05pmI have the PRODIGAL recording but have listened to it yet. I picked it up because I saw the show and I like the cast. The cast was the reason I saw the show in the first place. Kerry's role isn't huge. She is only in 4 of 17 songs. PRODIGAL is not a great show. The NY Times slammed it if I recall correctly. As an Afternoon Special musical in 1980, it might have been OK. I wanted to like it but wound up thinking that I had wasted an afternoon seeing this when I could have seen so many other shows.
