One has got to wonder what on earth they are thinking right now.
Had Kristin signed with the show and it opened this season it likely would have been a giant hit. With small competition this award season the show would have been a definite front-runner for Best Musical as well as a shoe-in for Best Score (assuming American Idiot is deemed ineligible). Instead, Chenoweth signed with Promises, Promises which turned out to be a huge bust.
Chenoweth, the producers of Promises, Promises, and the producers of Minsky's all must be in a pretty sour mood today.

Have you seen Miskey's?!
It's not a great show.
At all.

I saw it in Los Angeles. The show was OK but had definite potential. They have a very strong team - Strouse, Martin, Nicholaw, and McCollum. After the LA Production they said they were going to do some re-writes on the show.
Edit: Minsky's as it stood in the LA production was less than great and a little more than slightly bearable. Assuming they made the proper adjustments I think this show would have really stood out from the rest. Along with Memphis and The Addams Family, it would have been one of the only original musicals in terms of book and score and it was definitely better than both of those.
