Posted: 2/11/05 at 7:52pmDifferent shows have different numbers of stage managers. I've worked on shows that have had as many as 4. Some shows only have 1. If a show has two stage managers, yes, they both need to be there.

They need to be at every show.

Posted: 2/11/05 at 8:03pmI know that the stage manager does, but what about the pro. stage manager? Do they just oversee things and come to the shows everyone once in a while?

Posted: 2/11/05 at 8:11pmI see...and the stage manager calls the show?

Posted: 2/11/05 at 8:22pmDepends. That's not hard and fast. Each performance could be different - the show I worked on with 4 stage managers, they kind of took turns.
