Psycho: The Musical?

I just finished reading Janet Leigh's book which featured behind the scenes stories about the filming of Alfred Hitchcock's 'Psycho'. In the epilogue, she notes that several requests had been made to Universal studios to secure the rights to turn 'Psycho' into a Broadway musical.

Her book was released in 1995. At that time, she said that Universal had refused the offer for 4 years running. This was interesting. What do you imagine what 'Psycho: The Musical' would look like?

Try & find an OC cast album called "Corkscrews" . One track is " Psychotic Overtures - A musical daptation of Psycho a la Stephen Sondheim"
