The Public is simply one of the most important theater institutions. Period.

I can't tell you how many amazing shows I have seen at The Public. Hundreds and most of them didn't transfer to Broadway.

Also...Many years ago, I was an usher, then a house manager at The Public. During that time, I saw so many truly shows be developed. I also have performed at The Public.

Long live The Public Theater and may we honor the vision of Joseph Papp.
