I know I'm probably in the minority, but I loved this show when I saw it on Broadway. Wish I could go to this....
I thought it was one of the most boring evenings in the theatre ever. Some attractive music, but no sense of story-telling. And I was bothered by the sense of it being an apologia for an unrepentant murderer.

Does anybody know which sections of the Delacorte get the most stabbing interactions? Thanks in advance. Capeshines forever!
I'm very interested to see Paulus' interpretation of the show! Need to start resting now for what is sure to be a very early morning in line in August!
How bizarre. Following Two Gentlemen and Hair, I would have loved to see a concert version of McDermott's Dude, Via Galactica or The Human Comedy over this. They all have more interesting scores.
I saw a concert version of Via Galactica at the Cooper Union several years ago, music directed by McDermott himself.
Some interesting music, incomprehensible lyrics, and absolutely no way you could fathom a story through the songs. But, as a curiosity, good to hear.
I actually like much of the music to Via Galactica, though for the Delacorte, they would really need to navigate the audience through the score. "Up" (allegedly, the original title of Via Galactica) is one of my favorite McDermott tunes.
One of the few shows I've walked out of at intermission. HATED IT. But best of luck, to those who are doing the concert version.
Hopefully, they won't make use of that ridiculous miniature island of Puerto Rico, that they used in the Broadway production. I still laugh about that.
