Those of you who have purchased tickets from their website: Were the seats you received good or not? I want to get good seats to Gypsy for early December and since Telecharge doesn't have that great of ticket selection left, I figured I'd give Broadway.com a shot. Is this wise or not? Or should I just wait 'til later in the summer and see if they release a new block of tickets for the winter? Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.

HI PJ,

I bought tickets to the Producers from them for last Christmas for my boss...they were amazingly nice and got him 2nd or 3rd row but on the side. At that time of year, I accepted those no matter how far on the side they were...but it turns out they were 2 seats off the aisle.

You can always call them and talk to an actual human...that is how I got to choose what day of the Christmas week were better seats.

Let us know what happens!

Well that's good news to me. Even though they charge a lot more than Telecharge, if they have better seats than Telecharge, then I'll be getting mine from Broadway.com. Thanks!

The problem with buying on the Broadway.com website is that it really is a crap-shoot. You can only pick the section and you can't see the exact seat before you buy it. So if you choose the orchestra, you might end up with a seat on Row A or on Row P. I stopped using Broadway.com a while back and decided to stick with ticketmaster or telecharge as you know the exact seat(s) you are buying. That's just me--I almost always buy on the web.

I have never called, as Piglet suggests, however, so that probably works better.

Yeah, I guess it could be a crapshoot online--it's really annoying that they can't offer seat locations (does anyone know why not?)... But I think they do allow you to state preferences on where you are. I used Broadway.com a couple of weeks ago because I heard they had good seats to "Moving Out" and they did--about halfway back, where the orchestra first lifts up at the Richard Rodgers... I, too, had a great phone experience. The sales agent was much more helpful and knowledgeable than those at Telecharge.com. But maybe phone is better than web with them.
