Anika is AMAZING!!!!!!!!

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I was surprised when Karen was nominated (although she did, on many levels, deserve it...she was the only worthwhile aspect of the show), but I would have preferred that her spot go to either: Veanne, Stephanie Block or MC Garrison.

I was surprised she was nominated too, mef, if only for the reason that the show had closed long before and was a huge flop, both financially and critically. However, she did deserve the nomination. I did not see all the nominees, but having the choice between her and Rose (and I loved COC, by the way), I would have voted for Ziemba.

i liked Ziemba too (almost always do) but i thought Goodwin in that show (and her partner) were also really worth watching. Ziemba's comedy partner was also quite good, as were most of the supporting characters (all the men came off pretty well). NEVER GONNA had a lot going for it, but mishandled leads. But that's a topic for another thread.

Who's choreographing PURLIE for Encores? Kathleen?

Goodwin was wasted in that show - I really wanted her to sing more! Her partner was not very good - quite sloppy, actually.

i thought Goodwin and partner (he's really well-known, why can't i remember names today?!?!) were really well-matched physically in dance style. i heard their choreography changed a lot in previews, but they always seemed confident and as if they were having a blast. That held for most of the cast except the two unfortunate leads---though Racey was a charming actor and danced beautifully. They had good "dance chemistry" as well. That show just needed a better director and some guts from the producer in charge of casting.

The problem was too many cooks, TX. That large contingent of producers would have a meeting every night after every preview and each give their individual notes. I have to say, that show was a lot better in the very beginning than by the time the critics were there. They ruined a good thing.

And of course, the leading lady couldn't sing. Another big problem...

no i dont think it was an off night..she has a tremendous voice..but very little stage presence otherwise..i was shocked she got nominated. not to be mean..honestly..but the girl with the saddle shoes was far more powerful and much more "present' just my opinion...also the show was misdirected and could have been better with a stronger director.

Chandra Wilson played Dotty, the girl with the saddle shoes.
