I don't know if this has ever been posted, but before anyone gets mad at me if it has, I did look. I am curious why there was never a recording made of this show. It's got great music AND I am sure that it would have made money for the NAMES PROJECT.

Is this in regards to the AIDS quilt? Because if so, there IS a recording.

Years ago, MTI sent me a recording with my perusal copy of the script. I don't know why I didn't make a copy of it, arg! I don't know whether it was a copy originally intended for commercial release, or if it was just intended for the purposes of selling the show to potential companies. Either way, someone on here must have it.(heck, if they have the Smile recording...)

I saw an excellent college production of this a few years ago at University of North Texas. I remember being quite fond of the show. There are also some great monologues in it.

I wish there would be a revival Off-Bway sometime.
