Did anyone see the production of "Quatermaine's Terms" at the Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer? I heard that there is a possibility that it will be moving to Broadway and I was wondering what people thought of it; if it has a chance or not. I'm a fan of Maria Aitken and "39 Steps" and I would love to see another one of her shows on Broadway.
Oh wow, no way! I'd love to hear that too! I am hopeful that "Quartermaine's" will get a Broadway run. (Got the "r" in there that time, hahaha) I was researching the show as well and it looks like the original off-Broadway production got really good reviews, but never made it to Broadway. I wonder why.
Just a stray thought: Try to describe the show to someone, and convince them that they'll like it. It's hard. It's a hard sell. Really, almost nothing happens onstage in the play, everything happens offstage. But that's what's so great about it; we don't see action, but we see "souls in motion", to coin a phrase.
Huge stars in the play might be able to fill a Broadway house, but I just think it's maybe a little too "small" (on the surface) to work on Broadway.
