Question About The Fan Photos On This Site

What format do the photos have to be in? I keep trying to post this photo I have thats "bmp" but, it's coming up blank. If anyone can help I'd be very thankful.

You have to save it in gif or jpg.. you can't save it and upload it in bmp... it'll show up blank for the thumbnail. But when you click it it will be there. I had the same problem yesterday and just re-uploaded everything in jpg, deleting those in bmp. :)

now that we're on the questions of photos, how does one download a photo onto the text by inserting it into the "Optional Image" section?? Well, I tried that and it doesn't work. I'm trying to have photos on the message itself, I'm not talking about my icon pic. Thanks

So, to do that you have to have the picture uploaded on a site which will allow direct linking.... like a paid geocities account (such is Roxane's site which I linked this one off of)... it has to be a web address in that field, not a folder on your hard drive....

for example, this picture I put in, this is what I had in the "Optional Image" field: www.roxanecarrasco.com/rox_rickymartin2.jpg (with the http:// before it)

See what I mean?

glad I could help. just remember that sites like geocities don't allow direct linking (which is what you're doing) unless you have a paid account. I know angelfire doesn't either, but there are a few online photo album sites which do allow it.
