I agree that it would have been a hit--they probably would have rushed a different version than Dench's to the radio but--at least in the UK--it was always planned to have a life outside the show.

The only memorable bars of "Memory" are the opening bars and they are Ravel's Bolero played at a slow tempo.

Auggie I agree totally about EP (just as in Sunset actually)- she is one hell of an actress.  And it's what la Scherzinger totally lacked.
