Posted: 4/19/07 at 8:09pmI haven't been privy to Equity contracts for a number of years, but I thought it was (used to be) a cumulative amount of days, kind of like at many offices. A certain number of days off for every month you work. Again, my memory could be incorrect, but I seem to recall 2 days for every month, and two weeks at the six month mark.

I've never done a show long enough to get sick days (though I do accrue vacation pay when subbing, which is nice), but according to the rule book, it's 1 performance for every 4 weeks of employment. People who make more than $3,500/wk don't get sick days, and people who make between the PSM's minimum salary and $3,500 only get paid the PSM minimum, not their full salary.
And if a show closes or you leave or whatever, you get paid for up to 11 unused sick days, at the minimum for your category, not full salary.
There's about a million other nitpicky rules, but that's the gist.
