Question about auditioning/Hairspray#0

My sister was in New York today, auditioning for Hairspray. they had her sing Good Morning, Baltimore... and then asked her to sing a second song (she didn't tell me which)... anyway, I have no experience with auditioning for a BW show myself, and I was just wondering how common it is for them to ask for more...

Very common. They might want you to sing a ballad, as opposed to an upbeat song, or vice-versa.
