Does anyone know if regular show merchandise is typically available during preview runs?
Thanks!
Sometimes, it depends on the show. There isn't a set answer.
For instance I know that Annie has lots of merchandise ready so I'd guess that they'll be selling it during previews.
But from my personal experience there isn't usually a lot of merchandise available until a little while into the run.
In general though, you're really better off buying show merch from online sites like Playbill.com etc. It's a lot cheaper.
Is there a particular show you're thinking about?

Yup. I'm going to a preview of Glengarry Glen Ross, and hoping for an autograph on an official poster. That's why I'm wondering...
Thanks for the response!
Ah, well because of the high profile cast it's very possible that they will have posters ready to sell.
I would just keep checking playbill.com and the tritongallery.com
Good luck!

Oh yes, subscription audiences at matinees. A nightmare. Years ago I went to a matinee of The Secret Garden at the Paper Mill Playhouse. The audience was filled with grumpy old senior citizens (it's too cold, it's too hot, I can't see, what did she say, etc.) and parents with children who they could not or would not control.
I'm not disagreeing bobs, but I think I'm missing the connection between merchandise and subscription audiences.
