Question re: Spamalot

Are the songs which are played on the Spamalot web-site the same numbers performed in the production? (eg--"Always look on the bright side of life--whistle, whistle--) (I'm in good voice today, dontcha think?)
Or----are they just used for ad purposes on the site?

"Aways Look on the Bright Side of Life" and "I'm Not Dead Yet" (under "The Book of Eric Idle") are both in the show (I have no idea if there are more songs on the site - I only have so much patience before the busynesss of it begins to annoy me) :)

Thank-U. I agree----it's fun in small doses. The constant "bring out yer dead" gets pretty annoying. :)
I'm looking forward to seeing it tho'. Got tix for June. (decent seats are scarce---they want you to pay "premium" prices for the 1st 10 rows and I'm not doing that. So, I managed to get row L by going thro' every date on Telecharge.

I was wondering if there are any new songs that are not from the clasic movies and tv shows.

Premium tickets? Wow! I knew this show would be a smash hit. There is a huge built-in fan base, much like Mamma Mia's, and I'm hearing about this show from a lot of my friends who do not often go to musicals. Hint: sometimes unsold premium seats go on sale a day or two before the show at regular price, you might get lucky.

I like the web site too, and I agree the "bring out your dead" is a bit much. You can allways click "skip the silly stuff", but why would you want to do that?

I'm not completely clued up about this show, but I am under the impression that the majority of the songs are new, with just a few being taken from the films.

The show uses the songs from the Holy Grail movie ("Knights of the Round Table", which is expanded and changed a little bit in the show, and "Brave Sir Robin") and "ALotBSoL" from Life of Brian. "I'm Not Dead Yet" is new/original, as are the rest of the songs. I saw it last Sunday - it's a great show :)

The website is so annoying. I was trying to listen to one of the songs, but there was that constant, "Bring out the dead..." in the background. I think they purposely made it obnoxious like that. However, I am definitely looking forward to this show.
