Hi, everyone. I'm attending the Tony Awards this year for the first time and I had a few questions...
- What time do they start admitting people into Radio City Music Hall?
- Do they sell Tony Awards merchandise at the ceremony or any other location in the city?
- Where can I find the entrance for the general public?

I went three years ago so things may be different. Doors opened at 7PM. You get handed a free Tonys book, I can't remember if there was other merch. I used the front entrance.

I'm also attending and had similar questions so I just went by Radio City to ask.
For general public, doors open at 6:00 and CLOSE at 7:00.
You can use either of the side entrances, on 50th or 51st. The front entrance on 6th ave is for the red carpet.

You can purchase Tony merchandise here: http://tonyawardsstore.com/
When I attended the Tony Awards in 2015, there was merchandise available to purchase. You can probably expect there to be merchandise this year, too.

Received an email around 4 pm with the following message:
"Thank you for purchasing tickets to American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards 2017 at Radio City Music Hall.
Due to road closures around Radio City Music Hall, we ask that all guests avoid 6th Avenue. As a result, please travel from 5th Avenue and enter through our 50th Street entrance (South Side of the building). Please add additional travel time. Doors will open at 5:45pm and guests are required to be seated by 7:00pm.
Please arrive early.
No outside food or beverage is permitted in the venue."

That's kind of a dumb e-mail. How exactly do they suggest that attendees who are coming from west of Sixth Avenue (which is most of us) get there? Tunnel under, or be airlifted in???

I mean, you could just cross north or south of the closure. They aren't closing the entire street, just right around RCMH.
