R.I.P. George Carlin

Yeah, he appeared on Broadway in his one man show.

And I can't say a single one of the words I'm thinking tonight without Craig having a fit.

re: R.I.P. George Carlin

I am a HUGE Carlin fan. My heart dropped when I saw the title of this thread. It is hard for me to believe that this is true. The man was a genius. Say what you will about his language but he was a genius none the less.

re: R.I.P. George Carlin

Sorry about the title, but I've always been one to just put it out there.

He would have wanted it that way. As he said "I once got fired from a gig in Vegas for saying S**T in a town where the most popular game is called C**PS."

Oh come on, Craig, leave this one in.

For George.

One of my favorite short routines of his is called "five twos." "I've never F---ed a ten but one night I f---ed five twos. I think that aught to count. I think that that should go down in the record book as an accomplishment. Never F----ed a one. Never been drunk enough to F---- a one. You have to be DRUNK to F a one.

For me, George Carlin was the funniest man alive. Now he is amusing people somewhere else.

re: R.I.P. George Carlin

Folks, if you haven't seen it, you gotta rent the movie DOGMA. Carlin plays a priest who tries to soften the church's image by introducing "Buddy Christ" (as illustrated).

They sell Buddy Christ bobble head dolls.

re: R.I.P. George Carlin

What a same he was hilarious in everything he did, some people might recognize him from Scary Movie 3 (of course he did other projects way better than that) as the creepy old guy in the light house

re: R.I.P. George Carlin

I thought he did not look well in his last few appearences but hey He'd lived a large life. Remember the hippy dippy weatherman? Or how about his straight dramatic turn in Prince of Tides? A real loss. R.I.P.
