Diana DeGarmo sounds like she'd be the ideal Bella. If you need a belting pop singer Diana's a perfect fit.

Audra McDonald would sound amazing singing Rebecca's songs, but... she certainly could never play Rebecca in any realistic production of the show. If the concert goes for non-traditional casting (which I'm guessing there's a good chance it will) then I second Audra for Rebecca!

I honestly think that would be a great idea, Marie2. Diana DeGarmo has an amazing voice and doing an event like this is right up her alley as she's always into fundraisers and all that jazz.

Isn't Diana Degarmo in Hairspray doing Penny. Could she do this show as well considering rehearsals etc.

I dont see why not, its been done before. Actors who were currently starring in show performing at the World Aids Day concert.

YES! Kelly Clarkson as Bella...that would be incredible. I would go crazy if that were to happen! If you are looking for a popstar who can belt like there's no tomorrow....Kelly's your best bet. She has so much passion when she sings, and I think the score would sound incredible in her voice.
