Last night I had the pleasure of seeing Angelica Ross in RED INK at Rattlestick Theatre down in the West Village. Has anyone else seen it? It's a hilarious and poignant solo show written by the late Cecilia Gentilli telling the story of her upbringing in Argentina and transition. Sara Ramirez is producing the play in tribute to Cecilia with all ticket sales going to charity - Angelica is performing through this Sunday with Peppermint performing in it next week. It was a tight 75 minutes and Angelica's performance was incredible (the material suited her strengths much better than Chicago did). I hadn't heard of it before I saw Angelica's posts about it on social media, but I'm so glad I made the trip and highly recommend checking it out before it closes next week.
