IMPORTANT NOTICE!
KRISTIN CHENOWETH CANCELS CONCERT
The theater has been informed by Kristin Chenoweth's management that she will not be able to fulfill her obligation to perform on June 25 and 26. Miss Chenoweth is shooting a film in Vancover and will not be able to return in time for the June 25 performance date. The theater attempted to reschedule Miss Chenoweth's performance by offering to hold the concert at any date of her choosing over the next four months. Unfortunately, due to a number of other commitments, she was not able to offer a date. While we are extremely disappointed by this situation and the inconvenience it has caused our patrons, we are thrilled to be welcoming Broadway legend Patti LuPone on June 25 and 26. If you have purchased tickets to Kristin Chenoweth's concert, you will of course be offered a number of options, including a full refund. We do however, encourage you to consider exchanging your tickets for what is sure to be an unforgettable evening with one of Broadway's most gifted performers. The theater will be contacting all ticket purchasers and subscribers over the next week via mail to offer exchange and refund options. I would like to extend a personal thank you to Patti LuPone for agreeing to open our season on such short notice, and to all of our loyal patrons for their support and understanding.
Sincerely,
Vincent Marini
Producing Artistic Director
Wow, that sounds awesome!
Still working on Waiting for the Moon, though.

Hmm. They sound a little peeved. Awfully long note for a concert cancellation notice.

Yeah, I got our letter the other day, I am getting our money back.
Can't wait for our pissed off little friend to see this.

And who would that be?
I was originally going to get a refund, but I'm on vacation that weekend anyway, so I think my friends and I might keep the tickets and see Patty.

I would if I were you, Theater. It could be either a wonderful night or a really funny one, depending on how much of a diva Patti proves to be.
Wow, they certainly washed their hands of the problem and put it squarely on her. Guess they don't anticipate ever asking her back. Unfortunate
I guess this means she won't be doing the Lincoln Center's TRUE COLORS: A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC AND DANCE on June 23rd??
Does anyone know?

This makes me wonder-- WHO is really in control of a performer's life?? Do they let their agent's have so much power that if "something better" comes along, the first place is just out of luck?? Sounds like a tough prom date decision!!
