Ok, so we all know that the cast of RENT will be at Bryant Park on August 4, but my big question is, what other shows will be there. I know Christopher Sieber is hosting, so maybe some Spamalot?!? If anyone knows anything just let me know!

Posted: 7/18/05 at 7:05pmum according to Broadway in Bryant Park's schedule Rent is supposed to be performing on July 21st. August 4th is Broadway Dances. (unless we are talking about different things?)

Posted: 7/18/05 at 7:08pmBroadway Dances (Dancing For Life last year) has been changed to Broadway for Life this year...the Rent movie cast will be performing Seasons of Love and Finale B. Last year, it was dance performances, from the casts of 42nd street, Wicked (with Idina), Movin' Out, and a performance from Karen Ziemba and others dancing to Heat Wave.

Posted: 7/18/05 at 7:13pmAll he said was what was there that day last year. The RENT thing is listed as something called "Broadway for Life," and the Broadway in Bryant Park schedule lists some dance thing and then BC/EFA for the fourth.

I'm still confused where he heard that broadway dances has a changed name and that rent the movie is performing: "Broadway Dances (Dancing For Life last year) has been changed to Broadway for Life this year...the Rent movie cast will be performing Seasons of Love and Finale B."

Posted: 7/18/05 at 7:48pmLast year, the same concert took place. Broadway Dances for Life was performed last year on two separate days. This year, rather than having "Broadway Dances for Life" the title has been changed to "Broadway for Life" and will include the Rent movie cast performing, all hosted by Chris Seiber. It's on broadway cares' website, as well as many a thread around here.

that is odd because according to bryant parks website it is called broadway dances and features dance numbers from different shows on broadway. Hence why I was asking for clarification.

"Thursday, August 4 th at 12:30 in New York City’s beautifully restored Bryant Park at 42 nd Street and Sixth Avenue - cast members from the upcoming movie musical version of RENT will appear in “Broadway for Life” lunchtime series and perform live “Seasons of Love” and “Finale B”.
