Chlydomnestra, allow me to explain why Idina and Tracie are in a frame together (with Idina grabbing Tracie's butt) and Wilson and Jesse are in separate frames. In publicity for a wide-release movie, where you're trying to get as many people as you can to pay money for a ticket, having 2 men, or a man and a drag queen photographed as a couple is going to turn away a huge amount of people, whereas lesbians are "hot" to straight men and don't make women uncomfortable the way 2 men would. The movie industry is totally different than theater in that they're marketing to a much wider audience. They're trying to pull in people who just like any kind of movie, people who don't care whether it's a musical or a feel-good comedy or drama. They just want people who wanna see a movie on a Friday night, they spend their 10 bucks, and hopefully some will like it, catch on, see the deeper meanings, whatever, and spread the word, selling more tickets and making more money. (Theater audiences are marketed to as being a lot smarter.) An example, as a lot of people on this board have noted, take a look at the trailer. I remember someone commented that it looked like a "movie of the week" type o' deal, meaning it could be about just about anything. They're not going to shove any form of homosexuality, male homosexuality in particular, in the faces of potential audience members. They want to appeal to the widest audience possible.
Now, before people jump down my throat, I am a gay male and of course I think it's wrong that gay men gross out most of movie-going America, but hey, it's a reality, and the business is about making money.

Well said 'Wanna be a Foster'. Just look at what happened to Alexander, especially over there in America.
Word around town is that Alexander SIMPLY WASN'T A GOOD MOVIE!
Anyway, I like all the posters equally, but I hope the studio will release something that doesn't resemble the art for the Broadway production. Even if it's just a faded shot of the cast dancing in La Vie Boheme... I want to see some originality, something that says this film is a screen adaptation worthy of being judged on its own.
