re: RENT blog update: Jesse answers questions.

These are great, but (and I know the cast "loves" each other) all these cast Q&As seemed so "studio approved."

Wouldn't you love it if someone were just completely honest and said: "Yeah, I'm too old for it, but hell if I'm going to turn down a movie role. And it would be nice if Adam washed his hair once in a while. And Columbus is doing a good job. But I mean can you imagine what Martin Scorcese would have done with it!"

Is it just me, or did that seem too short? I love Jesse L. Martin, so I'm semi-disappointed that his Q & A was so short.

Well, Adam's was short as well. Only like three questions, or something.

That's a surprise - maybe they couldn't find enough substance through the "OMG I LUV U DO U HAVE A GF" questions? re: RENT blog update: Jesse answers questions.

re: RENT blog update: Jesse answers questions.

That's true, Georgeanne. And I think there were also quite a number of non-RENT-related questions, also. I asked one about solo performances, for example.

LOL, GMF! It's okay, she's joking. re: RENT blog update: Jesse answers questions. But that mistake HAS been made! re: RENT blog update: Jesse answers questions.

Well, luvtheEmcee, wasn't there a question asked by someone if Jesse L. Martin would do a solo CD?

I would buy it! But I can't imagine him doing one, and I sort of hope he doesn't.

re: RENT blog update: Jesse answers questions.

Yeah - I forgot about that. Hm. I had been thinking they'd be asked to stick to film stuff, but apparently not.

Either way, Adam probably did get many insane questions. I didn't really read the 200something comments, because I'd probably want to poke my eyes out.

I'd certainly buy that, should there be a change of heart.

Some of the comments for Adam's were actually coherent, but then a few bad apples ruin the whole bunch.

Some chick talking about how she lives for his blogs or whatever.

Ehh, a tad annoying, that it seems like everyone has answered the question as to if there's going to be a soundtrack. If fans don't know that the answer is YES by now...

musicnmath copied and commented:

Right. My response is "wow" too. But that's because I consider it to be a bad sign. What most of the fans don't seem to appreciate is the film taking risks to be more cinematic and exist independently of the stage production -- right down to costumes. I can think of several instances in which the actors and directors should do what "the fans" would initially disapprove of...

I love Jesse. He is just so cool and so classy. HIS ICY Reprise makes me cry everytime. And is solo in the RENT trailer rocks.
