#1RENT in St. Paul, MN Question

So I'd like to go see Rent before it's done. (I haven't had the chance to see it yet) It's opening tomorrow tonight in St. Paul, MN at the Ordway Theatre. It is playing the 17th-22nd. My plan is to get student rush tix. Any suggestions on the best night to go? I would be able to go tomorrow, but since that's the opening night, is that a poor choice on my end? Should I wait until further into the week to see it? I can't go wednesday, and thursday is questionable as to if i'm able. Then there's the weekend. Not sure what kind of seats i'd end up at those shows.

I would try for a matinee. Also, you should try the lottery for the first two rows. For St. Paul's lottery, you put your name in two hours before, then they draw twenty minutes later. If you don't win that, do the student rush :)

i've never done a lottery before. Where do you do that, and if you win, how much is it?

According to the theatre in St. Paul, they're doing a general lottery for 28 tickets (pit seats). You have to show up two hours before (through the McKnight door) and they'll draw 20 minutes later. Normal lottery rules seem to apply: Have $20 cash per person and ID, request 1 or 2, etc.
